Characteristics
Vinification:
Harvest: Manual harvest in mid-September.
Fermentation: Pressing takes place a few hours after harvesting. Fermentation of the must in steel tanks at a controlled temperature for approximately 15 days.
Refinement: After some decanting, the refinement continues in steel tanks until bottling.
Terroir and viticulture:
The Bardolino “La Corte del Pozzo” comes from vineyards on morainic soil, on the hills east of Lake Garda in the Bardolino area. The cultivation system is the traditional short Veronese pergola, with a yield of 130 quintals per hectare.
Organoleptic characteristics:
COLOR: Lively ruby red.
BOUQUET: Slightly fruity and floral, with notes of wild rose and an enveloping scent of a bouquet of fresh flowers.
TASTE: During refinement, the fruity part becomes more important and is accompanied by the floral part, giving vinosity and a more harmonious flavour.
